Are you a trained, state permitted wildlife rehabber? No? Then it is illegal for you to be in possession of wildlife except to transport it to a rescue.

What is your certification?
In Ohio, wildlife rehab organizations are governed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources/Ohio Department of Wildlife. WEST has two state permitted rehabbers.

Can I visit the animals in rehab?
According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, wild animals that are intended for release back to the wild are not to be viewed by the public. It is in the best interest of our animals to have as little contact as possible with humans so that they are well prepared for survival in the wild. We are always happy to provide pics and updates on animals, so feel free to text us at 937-949-1663 and ask!
